She died in McCook County, then Territory of Dakota, now State of South Dakota, on a farm about four miles southeast of the then town of Cameron, which town of Cameron has been since abandoned, but was located about one mile south of the present own of Canistota....That affiant returned to the then Territory of Dakota in the spring of 1880 and assisted in removing her remains from the said farm and placed them in the cemetery in the town of Parker, Turner County, South Dakota.)      Lucy A. Carter was born on 25 June 1866.1 She was the daughter of Ichabod Gararas Carter and Amanda S. Carter.1

     Lucy A. Carter died on 16 June 1867 in Suffolk County, New York.1 She is buried in the Yaphank Presbyterian Church Cemetery located in Yaphank, Suffolk County, New York. The cemetery is located on the east side of the Presbyterian church on the North side of Main St. in the village of Yaphank. Her gravestone shows her as Lucy A. Cater, dau of Ichabod B. & Amanda S. Carter, age 11 mo. 22 days.1
