     August Wilde died in April 1904 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at age 62.2

     OBITUARY: Prof. August Wilde, formerly of this city, is dead at his home in Milwaukee from the effects of a stroke of paralysis which he sustained April 3. Prof.Wilde was educated at Concordia college in Fort Wayne, and some years ago was an instructor in St. Paul's Lutheran school here. His wife was formerly Miss Charlotte Piepenbrink. The deceased was an instructor in St. Stephens' Lutheran school in Milwaukee.2
