     Isaac Bricker was born on 8 February 1837 in Richland County, Ohio.1,3,4 He was the son of Jacob Bricker and Sophia Gongwer.1,2 In the 1840 census in Franklin Township, Richland County, Ohio, Isaac Bricker is assumed to be enumerated with Sophia Bricker.5 In the census of September 1850 in Rome, Seneca County, Ohio, Isaac appears in the household of John Miller as Isaac Bricker. He is 13 years old and was born in Ohio.6

     Isaac Bricker married first Mary J. White on 24 March 1856 in Marengo, Iowa County, Iowa.7,8,2 In the census of 27 June 1860 at Salem, Steuben County, Indiana, Isaac Bricker, shown as Isaac Bricker, appears as a head of household which includes the following household members; Mary J. White, Sophia Gongwer and William Bricker. He is 25 years old, working as a dentist, and was born in Ohio. Also living with this household is Josephine Bricker, age 13, born in Ohio.9 During the Civil War, Isaac Bricker signed up with the Company H, Fourth Ohio Cavalry. on 17 September 1861 at Camp Worcester, Monroeville, Ohio. In 1864, Isaac moved to Hartford Township, Iowa. He settled in the same township as his brother, Dr. Bricker. He has been a trustee of this township and has held the offices of secretary and treasurer of the district and township.10 In the census of 28 July 1870 in Ladora, Iowa County, Iowa, Isaac Bricker is listed as the head of household which included the following household members; Mary J. White and Emma Fields. He is 33 years old, a farmer, and was born in Ohio. His real estate is valued at $4800 and his personal estate at $2000. Also living in his household is Mary Miller, age 25, who was born in Ohio and is working as a domestic servant. Isaac is living next to his brother, John Bricker.11

     Isaac Bricker's second wife was Almeda R. (Unknown/Bricker). They married between 1888 and 1892.12 Isaac Bricker survived the death of his wife, Mary J. White, who died on 6 March 1888.13,14 Isaac Bricker survived the death of his wife, Almeda R. (Unknown/Bricker), who died on 20 October 1892.14,15

     Isaac Bricker died on 14 February 1906 in Marengo, Iowa County, Iowa, at age 69.14,16,17 He is buried IOOF Cemetery, Marengo, Iowa County, Iowa.14,17

He is 53 years old and was born in Pennsylvania. He is working as a blacksmith and living near John Bricker and Simon Bricker, two sons from his wife's previous marriage.1 In the census of 27 June 1860 in Salem, Steuben County, Indiana, John appears in the household of Isaac Bricker. He is 63 years old, a machinist, and was born in Pennsylvania. He is incorrectly shown as John Bricker.3
