It is much more probable however that the Nehemiah Carter who went south was a cousin, and not a brother to Barnabas's children, as the records givent eh date of his migration as between 1770 and 1775. He is probably the son of Nicholas Carter, who died in October or November 1770, leaving children: Abraham, Nehemiah, Moses, Nicholas, David, Reuben, Comfort and Kezia, and a widow Susanna.)      William Richards was born circa 1766. There are several William Richards born about this time in Tiverton. It is unknown which one he is. Could he be the William baptized 29 Nov1766 to William and Elizabeth Richards or the William baptized 11 Dec 1767 to Laurence and Ann Richards.2

William Richards married Catherine Sibley, daughter of John Sibley and Elizabeth Unknown/Sibley, on 22 April 1783 in Tiverton, Devon, England. It is assumed that Catharine Sibley is the Catharine/Catherine that William Richards' marriaged. The town is correct and the time fits. In 1841 there is a Catherine Richards living with Sarah Richards, wife of William and Catherine's son, William.3

Frances Holloway was born on 18 March 1833 in Gloucestershire, England.2 She was the daughter of Martin Holloway and Harriet Hancock.1 Frances Holloway was baptized on 14 April 1833 at Cam, Gloucestershire, England.3 In the census of 1841 in Cam, Berkely, Gloucestershire, England, Frances appears in the household of Martin Holloway. She is five years old and was born in Gloucestershire, England. Her name appears as Frances Holing/Holloway. (Note: Not sure why the age is off, but she would actually be eight years old. Her sister, Portia, census age is off also by three years.)4 Frances Holloway survived the death of her mother, Harriet Hancock, who died in 1842. Mary Ann Cutmore and Rosa Garner immigrated in 1850 to New York; They departed from Bristol, England and arrived in New York on 19 October 1850. There were five Holloway's listed on this ship. MaryAnn, age 40 (Martin's wife), Rosa, age 18 (believed to be Martin's daughter, Frances, born 1833), Porcha, age 14 (believed to be Martin's daughter, Porti, born 1836a), Rosa, age 12 (believed to be MaryAnn's daughter by a previous marriage), and Agnes, age 9 (believe to be Martin's daughter, Harriet, born 1841.) Martin and his daughter, Julia arrived a few days early on a different ship.5 Frances Holloway survived the death of Mary Ann Cutmore between 1850 and 1857; her husband, Martin, her step children, Frances, Portia, Julia, and Harriet, and it is assumed she was survived by her daughter, Rosa.

Frances Holloway died on 10 July 1927 in Royal Oak, Oakland County, Michigan, at age 94.2

OBITUARY: Mrs. Frances Holloway Page. Mrs. Frances Page, the mother of Mrs. J. Will Kirk of this city and Mrs. E. J. Bowles of Royal Oak, died Sunday morning in the Bowles home after a few days illness, the result of a general breaking down brought about by the infirmities of her age. She was aged 94 years. Mrs. Page was born in Gloucestershire, England, in the village of Cam. When a young girl she came to this country with her mother and sisters to join her father, who had preceded them and landed in New York after a rough passage of five weeks and three days. The next spring the family came to Adrian and here she lived until her marriage to Mr. Page. Her experience as a pioneer in this country and during the Civil War were remarkable and exceedingly interesting and a record of them has been kept by the daughters. Mr. Page died in 1901 and four years ago one of her three daughters, Mrs. Julia Grinnels, died. Surviving her are her two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Bowles and Mrs. Mary Kirk with whom she made her home since the death of her husband. Five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive. She was a member of the Baptist church in Eaton Rapids, the home of Pages for many years. The funeral services are to be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Will Kirk of 137 East Church Street with the Rev. Edward Montgomery officiating. The burial is to be in the family lot in Oakwood cemetery.7
