He is 20 years old and was born in Tennessee.³

     Hiram Trammel married Anna Campbell.²

     Hiram Trammel was born on 30 April 1832 in Tennessee.¹ He was the son of Lucinda Holt.¹ In the census of 14 September 1850 in Scott County, Tennessee, Hiram appears in the household of an unknown person .³ The following children, all born in Tennesee, were listed in the 1860 census; Lucinda, age 8, Dinia, age 6, Emeline, age 4, and Sterling, age 2 months.⁴ In the census of 26 June 1860 at Huntsville, Campbell County, Tennessee, Hiram Trammel, shown as Hiram Trammell, appears as a head of household which includes the following household members; Anna Campbell. He is 28 years old, a farmer, and was born in Tennessee. His real estate is valued at $600 and her personal estate at $875. He is living next to David Trammell, age 67, and Dauswell Trammell, age 38. The following children are also listed in this census; Lucinda, age 8, Dinia, age 6, Emeline, age 4, Sterling, and 2 months, and Spencer Lay, age 16.⁴

     Anna Campbell married Hiram Trammel, son of Lucinda Holt.¹

     Anna Campbell was born in 1828 in Kentucky.¹ In the census of 26 June 1860 in Huntsville, Campbell County, Tennessee, Anna appears in the household of Hiram Trammel as Anna Trammell. She is 32 years old and was born in Kentucky. She cannot read or write.²

     Anna Campbell died on 10 May 1890 in Scott County, Tennessee.

     Dauswell Trammel was born in 1822 in Tennessee.¹ He was the son of Lucinda Holt.¹ As of between 1845 and 1850, Dauswell Trammel was also known as Dauswell Trammell.²

     Dauswell Trammel married Chloe Hamby, daughter of Henry Hamby and Sarah Cross, between 1845 and 1850.² In the census of 14 September 1850 at Scott County, Tennessee, Dauswell Trammel, shown as Dauswell Trammel, is listed as a head of household which includes the following household members; Chloe Hamby. He is 29 years old and was born in Tennessee. He is a farmer and living next to David Trammel. Also living in his household is Lucinda, age 3, Sally, age 3, and IW, age 7/12.³ In the census of 26 June 1860 at Huntsville, Campbell County, Tennessee, Dauswell Trammel appears as a head of household which includes the following household members. He is 38 years old and was born in Tennessee. He is a farmer with real estate valued at $500 and a personal estate of $550. He is living next to David Trammell, age 67 and Hiram Trammell, age 28 and their households. Also living with him are several children including Lucinda, age 13, Sally, age 11, Isaac, age 10, James H., age 8, Mary, age 6, Elizabeth, age 4, and Nancy J., age 1.⁴ Several children are listed in this census, all born in Tennessee; including Lucinda, age 13, Sally, age 11, Isaac, age 10, James H., age 8, Mary, age 6, Elizabeth, age 4, and Nancy J., age 1.⁴

     Garret Trammel married Lavinia Marcum.

     Chloe Hamby was also known as Cloah Hamby.¹

     Chloe Hamby was born in 1820.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Hamby and Sarah Cross.¹

     Chloe Hamby married Dauswell Trammel, son of Lucinda Holt, between 1845 and 1850.¹ In the census of 14 September 1850 in Scott County, Tennessee, Chloe appears in the household of Dauswell Trammel as Cloass Trammel. She is 29 years old and was born in North Carolina.²

     Nancy Trammel was born in 1860 in Tennessee. She was the daughter of Dauswell Trammel.

     Nancy Trammel married Jesse Bogus Ball.

     This may or may not be Ellen Rock, sister to Jane Rock. Ellen is the right age, and birth location. Could have been living with her sister at the time in Wexford County, Michigan.

     Henry Higgins was born in 1852 in Decator, Michigan.¹

     Lifus Holt was also known as Cephas Holt.²

     Lifus Holt was born in 1828 in Kentucky.² He was the son of Thomas Holt and Cinthy Waters.² In the 1830 census in Whitley County, Kentucky, Lifus Holt is assumed to be enumerated with Thomas Holt.³ Another source indicates that Lifus Holt may have been born in 1837 at Kentucky.¹ In the 1840 census in Whitley County, Kentucky, Lifus Holt is assumed to be enumerated with Thomas Holt.⁴ In the census of 1850 in Whitley County, Kentucky, Lifus appears in the household of Thomas Holt as Cephas Holt. He is 22 years old and was born in Kentucky.⁵

     Lifus Holt married Ruth (?) circa 1858.⁶ In the census of 27 July 1860 at March Creek, Whitley County, Kentucky, Lifus Holt, shown as Lifus Holt, appears as a head of household which includes the following household members; Ruth (?) and Thomas Holt. He is 23 years old, a farmer, and living next to Thomas Holt, age 75.⁷

     Ruth (?) was born in 1837 in Kentucky.¹

     Ruth (?) married Lifus Holt, son of Thomas Holt and Cinthy Waters, circa 1858.¹ In the census of 27 July 1860 in March Creek, Whitley County, Kentucky, Ruth appears in the household of Lifus Holt as Ruth Holt. She is 23 years old and was born in Kentucky.²

     Thomas Holt was born circa January 1860 in Kentucky.² She was the daughter of Lifus Holt and Ruth (?)² In the census of 27 July 1860 in March Creek, Whitley County, Kentucky, Thomas appears in the household of Lifus Holt as Thos Holt. She is six months old and was born in Kentucky.³

     Samuel Ross was born between 1790 and 1800.¹ According to court documents, dated 17 May 1819, Henry Holt bit the back part of the right ear of Samuel Ross on 13 March 1819. The court record states that the appilee (Drury Holt) recovered all of his cost from the appilant (Samuel Ross).²

     In the 1830 census at Whitley County, Kentucky, Samuel Ross was listed as a head of a family. He between 30 and 40 and is living near Drury Holt, Elisha Stephens, Joshua Stephens, Thomas Holt, and Daniel Strunk. Six children are living in his household, along with a female between 30 and 40. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also living in the household.¹
