Cards with groom names were made from these indexes and placed in the Genealogy Division. Later cards with brides names were added to this core index. Through the efforts of the Genealogy Division staff, and the assistance from volunteers, cards were made for both name of bride and groom for all other counties where marriage records exist through 1850. These cards were made from information in the Genealogy Division. Original marriage records are located in the county seat where the marriage took place.      The husband of Linda Niemeyer at the Chamber of Commerce in Yates Center is descended from Richard Trueblood and Margaret Ragle. (12-15-94, JoAnn)

Richard enlisted 8/1861 in Co. C. 27th Regt. Indiana Volunteers. He was
in the Army of the Potomac, fought at Antietam, and at Gettysburg, where
he was wounded. He also fought at Resaca in the Atlanta campaign.

When he returned from the service, he married Margaret. They had a farm
south of Raglesville.

In June, 1889, Alonzo came into the [Quincy] store and asked Will Ragle if he would like to take a vacation (he was recovering from the measles). Will went back to Raglesville and Burns City, apparently spending some time with Richard and Margaret Trueblood: they "had a swarm of kids, shiftless, easy going. I slept on a straw mattress and could feel the slats through it. Lots of mosquitoes."
